Step into an afternoon of winter enchantment deep in the forest! Get cozy with some cocoa and make the season bright. Our annual Winter Faire is a beloved tradition where children and families come together to create, play, enjoy and celebrate the season.

The Wild River Winter Faire is our gift to our children and families during a season that can easily become rushed and overstimulating. Rooted in Waldorf tradition, it offers a calmer, more grounded way to meet the darkest time of year. Children make gifts with their own hands, are drawn into stories and simple wonder, and move through the day at a child’s pace rather than a holiday rush. Natural materials, soft light, live music, and the warmth of community create space to slow down, be present, and rediscover the quiet magic of winter. Our whole Wild River school community creates the Winter Faire, and we hope to share the beauty of our seasonal festivals with the wider Truckee community.
